The Indian Thyroid Society (ITS) founded in 2003, is the largest Asian Thyroid Society, with a vision to spread awareness regarding thyroid disorders among professionals and public. The objective of ITS is to enhance clinical skills of doctors and paramedics in the management of thyroid disorders, and to promote research. ITS has membership of over 2000 professionals comprising of Endocrinologists, basic scientists, Endocrine surgeons, Nuclear medicine Physicians, Radiologists, Pathologists, Epidemiologists and postdoctoral students. The mission of the ITS is to impart scientific knowledge to doctors/patients through conferences, seminars, meetings and discussions about thyroid disorders and to promote research in the field of thyroidology.
